With the 1894's big brother the .444
I use 240 gr henry kranks .429 lead behind 19 grs of 2400 for around the 1700 fps mark and the same load with 240gr fmjs with out much differance when shooting at paper with 350 reloads per tub . My .444 dated 1988 has microgroove rifling and I use .430 265 gr flat soft points with 47grs of reloader 7 for hunting with.
