Google translate is free & not too bad at keeping the context.

Each section has an English translation (by David Penn/Herb Woodend) & each photo caption is also given in English. ...as are most of the illustrations/line drawings

We weren't thinking of charging you for the use of the pencil and paper...

Link to the UK bookshop that has a set of these books up for sale.

http://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/BookD ... D100121503

Not cheap, but as the information in them is invaluable - what cost to NOT have a set on the shelf - especially if you have a passing interest in Mosin Nagants in general & Finnish models of the same specifically....?

Last time I saw these on the book dealer site they were £450 & over £500 for a set. These were a small print run for the domestic Finnish market. I'd put money on them NOT losing value - but being a sound academic & financial investment...

MORE & more & more lollol lollol lollol

Another new package today, from a nice Finnish man, Mika Pitkanen

More books - written by the above named chap & Timo Simpanen

One hardback book:
Suomalaiset Sotilaspatruunat 1918-1945
(Finnish Military Cartridges, 1918-1945)

&

A couple of paperbacks:
Kaiken Maaiman Patruunoita
(Cartridges from All Over the World)

&

Kolmen Linjan Patruunan Perinto
(Legacy of the Three Line Cartridge 1918-1945)

...that's the next few evenings entertainment sorted by a good margin - apart from tomorrow night, as one is off to a gig!

Ooooh - more paperwork! All from Mika, again...

In no particular order, first up is the the third paperback in his trilogy of ammunition reference books, this one on pistol ammunition:
"Monen sortin pistoolinkuulia" (Finnish assortment of pistol rounds)

PLUS

A full set of all three of the above trilogy (as per earlier posts above) - for an RFD of this parish

PLUS

Mika's new book on Finnish 7.62 bullet designs of the 1920's & 1930's...
"LUOTIKARJA"

Got very lucky with this book as he posted it last week on the Tuesday & it was only published the day before!
Only Finnish text in this one - but WOW - still a humongous amount of data on the form of charts, drawings, photos, etc.

AND

A SAKO labelled card packet; for 3x 5-rounds, on clips
plus 3x Finnish stripper clips for the Mosin rifle

AND

A very very nice 1942 dated 15-rd card packet, with individual dividers, for loose D-166 bulleted ammunition!

Off to Ebay later to get some of the "library stylee" clear plastic book wrapper/jackets...need to protect the investment.
