I need a sunshield for my Nightforce BR42X, I have seen pictures of people running about 12/15" of opaque plastic tubing that just seems to be a push fit on the end of the Objective tube which would be a nice easy fix and would also act as a rain shield as well. does anyone know of a suitable source of plastic tube? It needs to be either 67mm or 69mm depending on how far on I push it.
Or is it simply a matter of finding something that is nearly right and wrapping tape around the objective end of the scope?

£50! Please tell me that you will be making your own,
Busy so have not the time to look elsewhere, just remembered seeing this add when looking for a SH NXS, As they are actually made by Nightforce I would assume that you can get one cheaper - have you checked the US Sights?

Re: Nightforce BR42X sun shield
That is exactly what I am after but not at 50 quid! Saturday when the rain came in it hit the front of my scope full on and made me wonder if a longer tube would stop the rain getting to the objective. I will have a look around and see what I can find plastic pipe wise.

Save yourself loads of money and just attatch a small piece of shammy leather onto an old bootlace or piece of para cord put round neck and use when needed.
