Anyone else read this? I picked up a copy in a second hand book shop quite a few years ago, and it's sat on the bookshelf since.

I might take it with me to work and read it next week.

99% sure I've got this one.

Pretty much all prone stuff. Interesting notes about FAC procedure 65 years ago.

Some of the politically incorrect language is fantastic!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

A true classic I dip into my copy often and I am always rewarded with some unknown or forgotten insight.

A real book that was written by some one who knew of that which they were talking instead of having authors that cannot write or have any in depth knowledge of the subject (just like modern retailers) and compensate their inadequacies with shiny photographs

Gun and shooting wisdom is thin on the ground these days.

In the wartime edition AG says golf courses should be turned into rifle ranges, bless him!
They still should!

Gets my vote, let's go football grounds as well.
What is a Sapper? This versatile genius condenses the whole system of military engineering and all that is useful and practical. He is a man of all work of the Army and the public ready to do anything or go anywhere, in short, he is a Sapper.
