Advice needed from unique alpine trgi shooters

Hi
I have just been out shooting the rifle for the first time and are finding when ejecting the case the bolt is very tight to open is this normal if not what do i need to do to losing it off.

Not a UA shooter but I would say dropping the load is always a good start if it is a new rifle and brass. Any witness marks on the back of the case or heavy cratering on the primer?

Hi i should said it is tight to open even without a case up the breach

From memory the UA uses a switch barrel system so I assume the bolt lugs engage into the barrel to maintain headspace. Is this a brand new rifle?

No not a new rifle, but i have just lube the bolt and barrel where the lugs lock to he barrel and it is much better now think it was just really dry, well hopping that what it was

That was lucky then, it is well worth cleaning the recesses the lugs engage into, I use a Sinclair Lug cleaning kit on my rifles, a good spray out with carb cleaner or similar from time to time does no harm.
