Either or both. Its in the future the former but knowing of some nice examples of the latter for the now goes a long way, though I can't help but love my buckmark.Sim G wrote:Proper pistols or Frankinstein Long Barrel?

Beretta PX4 was real nice. The Steyr M9 feels a little weird at first, but really good. But the choice for me would be the S&W M&P.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Thanks, I know its not likely for the future but I can see myself ending up in the Isle of man and to be fair, I aint a glock fan. I just don't feel it would be for me so an M&P in 40 S&ww is what I'd buy, a decent smith in 357, a ruger in 44 and a Mk3 in 22lr, and a 45 and 9mm to round things off, 1911 for the 45 and a cz for the 9mm. That sound like enough to keep me happy Sim?Sim G wrote:Beretta PX4 was real nice. The Steyr M9 feels a little weird at first, but really good. But the choice for me would be the S&W M&P.

It wouldn't keep me happy..... Revolvers, that where a handgun is for me really. I'd still have a couple or three semis, but a whole bunch of wheel guns!!

I like the blackhawk and the smith, I also like the Python, but feel by the time I'll be able to get..... they'll be out of my reach financially. I refuse to pay more than a set amount for one. As a lefty I feel more comfortable releasing a mag with the index finger than doing a revolver release (though I can do it when (I just move my index finger, let gravity do the work when I tilt to the right (this was from my dad's redhawk (my force pretty much said we could use each other's gun's and its on our certs and I learn revolver shooting that way)) then reach my right hand over and knock the empties out, it works but its more of a pain than the method with semis.Sim G wrote:It wouldn't keep me happy..... Still love my K22 and know lots of people that still love theirs too. Best build quality I've seen in an LBP (not handled a low mill) and very accurate. First few had reliability issues, the rest don't seem to.
Re: Glock LBP
Are there any decent, nice and fun to shoot polymer frame pistols out there ?
The HS2000 is nice & affordable. For me it was a strong contender but I still went for a G17 that I like the same way I like my AK.

I was shooting the PX4 a couple of weeks ago and I hated it! Horrible gun but then I think its all down to ergonomics, I'm a left hooker so that immediately limits the number of guns I get on with. I think Beretta don't like us cack handed fellas as the 92f is impossible to shoot well if your thumbs keep catching those little levers under the slide!Sim G wrote:Beretta PX4 was real nice. I'd like to have a go with a sig P320, been hearing some good things about them?

But the 92 has a reversible mag release these days though? Saying that I prefer index finger on release every time (I have stubby fingers).IsleShoot wrote:I was shooting the PX4 a couple of weeks ago and I hated it! Re: Glock LBP
it would work better if you used your index finger on the trigger
