sounds like Bisley could learn a lot ;)
There is massive competition to become a Disney cast member, where as I would imagine it's probably not that easy finding the right staff in the type of industry the NRA are in...so not really fair to compare the two...and, do you really want to hear "have a nice day" as you leave the range office! wtf

Also (and I'm aware you probably didn't mean it this way) it's not fair to say 'Bisley' could learn a lot; as if the whole place has a problem...If I'm honest, I have questioned the customer service of a few on rare occasions myself, but from my experiences (and I shoot at Bisley regularly) I also think they have some excellent staff who do a very good job in a role that can be pretty thankless at times.

I really was just a joke...the sentence reminded me of the English bloke with the awful french accent in Allo Allo - If you've not seen 'Allo Allo' you should see it...it's a surprisingly accurate account of what the French and Germans were like during WW2.

hm,to be honest with Bisley it is more like hit and miss,me also not native English speaker,on two occasions saw Mr Mercier at the range office and noticed frosty atmosphere between staff and The Boss...if something is in the air, frustrations will mostly hit the end user,us...but as stated above,it is a mix of professionals and "new" age kids, product of "The Wall"-Pink Floyd,my guess.... 5mith

I come back just to say I have noticed the poor social climate and turnover pf staff.

I by no means blame the demotivated, but the manageme who demotivate them...

narrow it down a bit, they were all English!! but i think you were referring to the police officer who was a british spy, Officer Crabtree, 'good moaning' 'I was p*** by the door' et all.

great sitcom but went on a bit too long series wise and lost the magic. I liked how the French characters could never understand the English when they spoke posh, yet but a French inflection on it.... great bit of writing, and inventive.

Creative?? More like bang on satire! If you don't put the French 'flare' on the pronunciation they always pretend they can't understand you 8-)

no, inventive :p
but yeah, i have experienced that, our product support is based outside Geneva, so have spent a bit of time there. But i admit, I have never put the two together (the show's language barrier and the French incomprehension)

i must admit, I do think English is better in that respect, as you can mess up the formulation and mispronounce the words quite severely and we'll still know what you mean, you try that in Paris. (unless you are from Glasgow, no one can understand that, even other Glaswegians )

I always take our touring caravan to Bisley. In the past, I have plugged in the electricity connection to find it dead, I have turned up to find a mobile home parked on the site that I booked, I have never got a straight answer from the range office staff who always claimed that the problem was not theirs.
This year, grass marked out in white with our booking number on it, accommodation staff came round to ask if all was well. Great improvement in tidyness cleanliness of toilets, road surfaced down to Siberia etc. Staff turn over is good if it gets rid of the useless ones---it looks like you have just nominated a couple.

Yes we too have found great improvements with the campsites when we have used them on two occasions this year. We have also found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

Cant say I have had the experience when camping there this year but I think it may be down to the outsourced (?) booking system!
First occasion I was given a reference to a plot that didnt exist and the second time my pitch was right in the middle of a 'kin great puddle-next time I am going to pack a rod as well as a rifle. Both times I just found a spot myself and pitched camp. Has anyone else been hit with the email questionnaire a few days after leaving? A good idea to monitor the responses from visitors but written by someone who has probably never set foot on the site and has no idea what goes on there. (IMHO) Just a generic form that looks like it has been produced by a marketing company.
Never had a problem with any of the staff on site but faced with the apathy witnessed by RGC I think I would have to have said something.
