All handloading data posted on Full-Bore UK from 23/2/2021 must reference the published pressure tested data it was sourced from, posts without such verification will be removed.

If you want to connect the data port to a PC then you will need a multiplexer. The Mitutoyo ones are horrifically overpriced (I use about 20 at work and one is always needing replaced somewhere at £400 a go!!!).
These are good replacements though and much more flexible being run of USB!

I've started using theirs at work at half the price of the Mitutoyo ones and they are good, quick delivery (a week or so) and a few months in not a single failure, where as the Mitutoyo ones seem to last about 3 years it would seem (all be it with daily use and quite a few plug in/outs. :)

Do the mituyo calipers have a port you can pop open? Most cheaper ones do and you can make an interface with a microcontroller, even adding Bluetooth.

Not all models do but the one I have does, IIRC it's the 500-171-[23]0 that does versus the 500-196-[23]0 that don't. Bluetooth is an interesting idea - dare say I could come up with something to read the port data.

There are a lot of people using arduino or pic microcontrollers to read them. A digispark or pro mini with an hc-06 Bluetooth module should get you going :-)
