lapua338 wrote:"especially dangerous" what the f**k does that mean? Define dangerous?

It's a rather misleading statement engineered to encourage an emotional rather than a rational response.

The people who propagate, disseminate and advocate these kind of statements are far more dangerous.
To be honest of all the misnomers used and propagated by the government/police when it comes to firearms i think i have least issue with this one. First online dictionary search definition of 'dangerous';

adjective
1.
full of danger or risk; causing danger; perilous; risky; hazardous; unsafe.

2.
able or likely to cause physical injury.

#2 Is a fairly relevant, but with the emphasis on 'able', rather than 'likely'.

I suppose if you changed the phrase to "potentially especially dangerous" it would be more accurate but starts to become a bit of a tongue twister.

ACPO (or continuity ACPO ) are, and have always been more of a threat to us than any terrorist organisation. They are the the McCarthyism of current day UK but using terrorists instead of reds under the bed to get ultimate power and disarm the population, wire taps, reading e-mails, getting your wife or kids (or the next door neighbour you fell out with over his dog s*** on your lawn) to INFORM on you. I wonder if there are plans for after school clubs where the kids get neat little brown uniforms and have private interviews with men in the long leather coats.
On the subject of terrorists getting their hands on weapons (especially the" more dangerous ones" ???) , I recall Lee Rigsby was murdered by a Vauxhall Corsa and a kitchen knife !!!! Whilst I think the former should definitely be banned , I would object to the latter.
On the subject of especially dangerous gun, I wonder if continuity ACPO get their ideas about firearms off movies (I think they and the polit bureau actually do any way). I am thinking of a line Ian Lithgow delivered in Bigfoot and the Hendersons, when a red neck ran in to his gun shop for a rifle to kill the Sasquatch , " I need a gun, a big big gun", says red neck, "I have big big guns but we are all out of big big bullets", shop owner replies with disdain.
But I digest, of course terrorism is a real threat, from home grown extremists and those we allow in on compassionate grounds. The situation is not helped by the French government opening up that Al Qa'ida and ISIL training camp (or Calais as we know it) just over the water.
I have just built up my collection again after many years of fighting every move these people made, possibly a mistake as I am in for more disappointment (inevitably).
Who would have thought that the ACPO would become so odious to everyone that they would have to rebrand and change their name, like some shonky builder who escapes his past crap by changing company name but nothing else.
But it's not the continuity ACPO (CACPO - ironically) we need to worry about, even though the Provisional ACPO (PACPO) are still out there, no it is the REAL ACPO (RACPO) who are lurking in the shadows, plotting even greater atrocities.
If continuity ACPO officials (CACPOO) team up with the SNP (or is it NSP , I can never remember) then those north of the wall are well and truly screwed . One party states who are intolerant of others views and wishes do not make for happy places to live. Terrorists in Glasgow used BMW and propane..(again, ban the first but not the second -IMHO) .
Northern Ireland, I wonder that we as a community do not high light the disparity to our fellow citizens more?? Perhaps if we in the rest of the UK did a few years of killing people who read from the wrong black book of a week end then we could elect a few of our ex murderers as ministers and they might stand up for our gun owning rights (??)
Ramble and Rant over, need a lie down now

I've heard back from BASC after emails I sent to the shooting organisations and they said its on their radar for a robust defence in the event they are contacted to discuss the reintroduction of the hotline.

I've also written to Npcc and copied Damian green (my local MP) so if I ever get a response, I'll post it here

If Mr Green doesn't reply on the subject of shooting, that'll be my fault, I'm afraid..... I chucked several rather large f***s at him a couple of years ago.....

The man couldn't lie straight in his bed.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Ah Ha, this Damian Green
On Sunday November 13th, 1977, he (Damian Green) and his then-girlfriend decided to go for dinner at Magdalen in what the source described as "a very provocative taunt to the Magdalen right".
At the end of the meal about a dozen undergraduates, most of them from Magdalen, grabbed Mr Green and carried him to the bridge over the Cherwell at the back of the college before dropping him 12ft into water just 18 inches deep.
The source recalled: "He landed and broke his wrist, and he nearly hit the spikes. What then happened is that there was a kangaroo court conducted by the Oxford Union to suspend the members who had done it."

I should have been more specific and stated define "especially dangerous" with respect to firearms.

These people possess limited mental capacity, understanding and aptitude in grasping facts and truths.
