[quote="huntervixen"]To be honest guys, I would have thought .22 lr semi autos would be at a greater risk than the MARs, if, god forbid we see a Paris/Tunisia type attack in the UK.

Amazed that .22 WMR semis were allowed to remain on Sec1 after the 1988 amendments[/quot

To stop all terrorism ban all guns ! I don't think not even the stupid sheeple would buy that
What about the .22lr lbp getting even more popular and choice a sig sauer p226 lbp looks appealing
It's making the handgun ban look like a mockery

The ACPO wanted to get rid of those and 50 bmg's some time ago. But they haven't and thankfully it was years ago and nothing has been heard from since.

Dont panic. Nothing is happening yet. They will have an uphill battle to do anything. Just relax for now.

Don't forget there have being thousands of terrorist attacks in the UK killing thousands using firearms and bombs. If there was no push to ban semi / auto .22 then why would their be now. Maybe they realised that banning legally held firearms won't stop terrorists getting firearms, what has changed. ? Could it be they are more concerned when shootings and bombings happen in London etc, than they were when they were happening in Belfast, and think they have to be seen to be doing something even if it's useless.

Well put there, terrorists aren't going to use a legally held .22 semi, straight-pull or even a MARS/lever release rifle.....they will use illegally smuggled full auto/select fire weapons so why penalise law-abiding FAC holders.

I don't really the guys that let loose in Paris having licenses for their full autos and rocket launcher, I know France has better laws in terms of what you can own, but not for Rocket launchers and full autos lol . I'm hoping with this being 4 months ago the next minutes that get uploaded (from this month I guess, we'll see them in another few months). If they're not talking about it, I guess everything will be ok and as Sim said getting the home office to agree to it is alot harder, especially with Mrs May not being their biggest fan at the moment. So as Sim said, I'm not worried and I'm guessing neither is Blackstuff or the other owners on here?

Everyone needs to go have a nice Sunday pint or go enjoy their guns. There's absolutely no impending doom here at all.

Or simply do something... get off your fat arses, write to your MP in the strongest possible terms that NPCC/ACPO are a bunch of c**ts and demand a response. It's their job to represent and listen to their constituents and he/she needs to understand that.

Our shooting sports should not be dictated by the desires and whims of unaccountable w***ers.
