The whole thread of the guy unveiling it as sorts is here. He won't reveal any pics or anything as he appears to be a bit of a perfectionist and getting him to reveal this much has taken a while. He believes it's uk legal, but how he describes it makes me feel unsure. Does anyone want to read and see what they think?

Very strange, my antivirus has never done that. Very weird. But if anyone else gets in and can offer up some legalise opinion it will be a bit better.

Anyway for people who can't get in, this is how he describes the action (note the use of a fully moderated barrel as its an outgrowth of his work with them).

Pull the trigger, and the rifle fires. The bolt stays CLOSED, forcing all the gas to go through the suppressor. No blowback. No backblast. No gas blasting out of the ejection port nor out from under the charging handle and into your eyes.

When you RELEASE the trigger, which could be a split second, or 10 seconds later, THEN the bolt will go back, extracting and ejecting the spent cartridge, then chamber the next round.

Does anyone see that as being uk legal? To elaborate, the bolt stays closed, the firearm does not need to be silenced but apparently its as costly to make an Un-silenced version.

As I understand it the action needs two manual operations to fire a shot to be section 1. I would suggest that pulling and releasing the trigger will be viewed as one operation even though the pull and release do two different operations.

That is what I thought, the fact that the action closes is a moot point (the action closing until release could still be viewed as a moot point). Somone else can chime in but even with the action closing and need the trigger released to open to rechamber the next shot. Disappointing but there are other avenues.

Just as I thought. To be fair, I have been asking and even on some US forums, there is debate over whether it will fly in places like New York and the like (one suspected a court case would brew) so the section 5 idea seems to have reached a consensus.
