How successful will they be in trying the ban the MARS? I own one and this affects me. From the same set of meeting minutes it also looks like NPCC/ACPO want to ban MARS action rifles. Aux armes, citoyens!

I'm thinking they might go to the Home Sec and whisper in her ear "Charlie Hebdo terrorists guns are available in the UK, ban them now!" or some such drivel.

I'm a MARS owner Sim and not happy, what's my recourse from this point on? I only ask as I don't want to be out of pocket, knowing of that bit of the law that says firearms that didn't exist before the 1988 act can be banned and no money given out. I understand some of their functions were moved sideways into the College of Policing, but their core business - deciding what laws to enforce and making money from selling citizens' personal data obtained from police computer systems - was left alone.
