Aye & that's before Airgun Licensing raises it's ugly head!
God forbid!
If ... ... Airgun licensing is brought in, I will get rid of my two air rifles, I just don't want the extra hassle for something I haven't used in almost three decades.
What do you mean "If"?
It's passed Stage 2 consent. Just a matter of Stage3 to go & it's AirWEAPONS not Airguns.
License to buy/own...illegal to use in your own back garden....etc. etc.
It'll kill off the new blood to shooting sports in Scotland.
My very many airGUNS will be heading south of the border...unless I have a tragic boating accident & they are lost at sea.
Here in The U.K. they've always been Air Guns perhaps sub-divided into Air Rifles & Air Pistols - I don't give a rat's arse what the Fascist SS* Regime at Holyrood calls them.

Not that I know of....
PC currently unwell, so cannot link the legislation link.
Phaedra is now tasked to find it & paste it from another forum where I'd put the link in
I'm not exactly right. A FAC or SGC valid at the date the Act comes into effect serves as an air weapons certificate until it comes up for renewal (if you have both, the later renewal date). After that you can get a coterminous AWC with your FAC etc. IF the legislation goes through as drafted.

And you need to read (and quote) the posts properly - it was Saddler you should have quoted, not me...

My FAC arrived today and only 5 days overdue. However, I can't really complain as they granted my request for another 2 rifles and in doing so made a slight error in my favour! clapclap
Now the search begins...
