i totally agree with what you are saying, and for the most part if you are just busting clays on a sunday, with over the counter shells, why would you even need to know?? they introduced a similar thing on the driving test a few years ago, where the learner has to open the bonnet, and point out ten things the examiner lists. this just seems to be a play on that train of thought.Outsider wrote:Does it matter? The whole point is to try and stop people from getting through by giving them arbitrary tests so they can fail them because for some reason legal gun ownership is bad (thanks McKay...).bradaz11 wrote:shell/hullphaedra1106 wrote: Their latest one is showing all SGC applicants a diagram of a shotgun cartridge and then asking them to name all 8 of its component parts.
head

primer

wad
what are the other two??
If people were able to name 8 components, they'd move it up to 9.
But, what i was meaning was, if they are actually being asked to name 8 parts, and 8 wasn't just an arbitrary number from phedera, i'm saying, I can't name 8 parts. So I would fail this. but if it was actually 6 then fair enough.
