KRG Bolt Lift

#1 Post by Ben Denise »

Hi Guys,

I have just fitted a KRG bolt lift SV to my Remington 700. I intended buying from the UK, but unfortunately the official importers (March Scopes) were out of stock. I checked the KRG US website which listed a number of their EU sellers, and ended up ordering it from Verterbrae in Norway.

Not only did in arrive in just a week (not bad coming from Norway), but it was actually cheaper at £25 delivered than it would have been from March (£28 delivered). I'm not connected to them in any way (just a customer) but was very impressed with the service. Linky below.

There prices look pretty competitive for a fair few things, especially there MDT Tac21 which is £435 vs £670 from Blackrifle! A fair saving will keep it mind for my next build.

Isn't this rather unfair on another trader's thread?

Importing from Norway is a bit of a lottery - I've bought from Vertebrae five times, three of the orders amounting each to several hundreds of pounds. Only the most recent purchse has attracted any charges, in this case VAT at 20% plus the part I object to, the ParcelFarce service charge - I didn't appoint them as my agents. Even with the charges, the price was still competetive.

I didn't have to pay anything, maybe because it was a low cost item?

As Norway is non-EU, VAT ought to be payable but from my experience it isn't always (see above). Just like packages from the US it's a lottery whether you're picked up or not.
