Skinner sights: UK supplier? Any good?

#1 Post by Demonic69 »

Hi all
I'm contemplating Skinner sights for my Henry Big Boy (I really wanted a marlin but lack of money and a good trade-in forced a compromise)..
Firstly, are they good when mounted on the octagonal barrel?
Secondly, am I best ordering them direct or can they be bought over here?

Cheers

If they are available over here then likely to be at SYYSS. If they don't have them then I'd order direct.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Marlin Spares sell Skinner Sights, but whether these fit a Henry, I'm unsure. I dealt with Jim at Marlin Spares a couple of years ago and he was really helpful so would definitely recommend him!

Marlin spares carry them as stock and they are a doddle to deal with and what you see is what you pay. Andy is more than prepared to ship them direct from the U.S., but UKBA might get to them first... Outstanding little upgrade.

But..... You bought a Henry!!!!! Oh no Dean, the kids only need to eat once a day, you should have saved for the Marlin... ;)
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

I wanted to Sim, I really did! SWMBO said that if the kids didn't rear, neither did I! I like my food too much! ;-)

I bought mine direct from Skinner in the US - quick and easy. Very comprehensive web site to help you choose the right bits.

Can't say as mine were mounted on a Marlin. Mine are very good quality so I would be surprised if they weren't.
