I like the Peltor Comtac.

Peltor Sport Tac are very good, if a little bulky. I got a brand new pair on fleabay for half retail price.

The UK agent is 3M and if you have any problems they will repair them under warranty.

Thanks for the info guys, I've ended up with the Howard Leight electronic ones, no doubt the MSA is great kit but it's a lot of money and I'm half deaf anyway :(

I don't think you'll be disappointed with the Leights, I've used mine for over a thousand rounds of 12g now and they've not let me down yet! I'm not sure how they'd cope with full-bore but I can't imagine them struggling

Even more need to look after what you've got left then! Plugs with the HL's turned up on top do me fine for all indoor range stuff (9mm usually) but my Sordins (gels) come out when shooting the .308 (with muzzle brake!).

Interesting. I shoot twice a month and they're switched on for 4 to 6 hours each time. The batteries need changing every 18 months to 2 years.

Could someone recommend some reasonably priced (£100 ish) slim line electronic ear defenders that I can use when clay shooting, so I don't knock them off when I mount the gun to my shoulder.
