I know the Phoenix meeting is on this weekend at Bisley, but are there sellers etc there? someone said there was something going on, but on their brilliant cutting edge website ( ) i can't see anything except the details of the shooting comp
When guns are outlawed, only Outlaws will have guns
While the Pavilion IS on the NRA ground, it is not under the auspices of the NRA - it's a private entity in it's own right - so organises events as it chooses.
I used to trade there, as did others on here. A good few of us stopped trading there a couple or so years ago, for more or less the same reasons, reached independently of each other...
sounds ominous... so is there a website for this seperate entity somewhere that would tell a person who is going to be trading there?
I need some reloading bits, and was thinking about heading down, but wasn't sure if the two objectives would be served in one, or if I should just order the bits i want from Kranks and THEN go look at the guns etc down there?

The Phoenix Arms Fair traders selling guns ammo reloading bits and bobs, C&G Norman Clarke Suffolk rifles etc will be there. No web site listing traders just a small ad in gunmart and it's free entry.
I enjoy the Phoenix and will miss not being there this time however with a house move planned in just over a week many things are already packed and sitting next to me in boxes. Once we have moved I doubt we will get down to Bisley very often.

I am heading down tomorrow evening with my son for a weekend of camping, shooting and bacon sarnies. The pavilion arms fair is always good for a wander about and occasionally you can find a cheap gem but mostly the rifles are a bit on the rich side.
Looking forward to having a laugh and a good few beers in the Artists on Sat night with the 'tree rat' and the Cornwall posse if anyone fancies a jar.
I can't make The Phoenix this year which I'm gutted about. Ah The Artists, if you see two short bearded Scottish guys then give them a slap by all means.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

The weather is not looking too bad...you guys might even get a dry night this year - Still makes me laugh that your lad plucked one of your nostril hairs in the middle of the night last time...you definitely get the 'Dad of the year' prize for laffing that one off
Bradaz - The arms fair is well worth walking around for a few hours if you've not been before

That's a big shame Mike ...though it gives me more of chance if the likes of you and Mr Smith aren't competing...
