Shooting news website

#1 Post by Mike2 »

With the assistance of the BASC & BSSC I have set up a page of news relating to our sport which is updated as often as twice a day on ocassions.

Some of it is good, some bad - and I know there have been objections to posting the bad news.

I don't believe there is any point in simply having a "good news" site - that would be burying our heads in the sand but I would be very grateful if board members could visit the site and let me know their opinions here, as it takes a fair bit of work to keep it updated and if you feel it's not worth it, then I'll kill it off.

if you feel it is useful, - well, then it will be worth the work!

Please let me know your thoughts.

Lol @ Rob, by semi do you mean rifle, house or man garden?
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Good stuff mate, as sual a couple of howler stories
Opposition to war games centre by anti-gun body
Plans for a war games centre in Marchington are facing objections from a national anti-gun organisation. The Gun Control Network has written to East Staffordshire Borough Council to object to the proposals for an Airsoft Skirmish Centre at a former army barracks in Stubby Lane 'on the grounds of public safety'
What planet do r=these dranged fckwits live on, they should take the lemon out their f@nnies and get a friggin life.

Firearms alert after bullet is handed in
FIREARMS experts     were called in after a high-calibre bullet was found outside a Torquay town centre shop yesterday. The alarm was raised when a member of the public picked up the ammunition next to the Tesco Express store opposite the Town Hall in Lymington Road.
Staff at the store alerted police amid fears the four-inch-long brass-coloured bullet might still be live.
But it was confirmed by police that the bullet appeared to be a harmless 'ornament'.

Sgt Andy Joyner, a trained firearms officer who attended the scene, said: "It may have been bought as an ornament. It's quite a high calibre — probably something like a sniper bullet."
Sgt Andy Joiner (mayb ein an ex life??) has now been taken off active duty until he gets a kick up the arras for making a cnut of himself with such a friggin stupid remark. FFS! "a sniper bullet", this from a highly trained expert LOL, my giddy friggin aunt!

Mike,
Very useful and interesting site - I'll include a link in Target Shooter magazine, if you don't mind.
