General election candidates' views on firearms ownership
Firearms UK, the campaign group who were behind the most recent pistol petition, have done some absolutely sterling work canvassing election candidates for their views on firearms ownership and the shooting sports.

It's a 25-page PDF. Well worth checking out parties and constituencies alike. A quick glance over the results-by-party part shows most of them seem to favour more restrictions...

Excellent work !!

Shooting would be the least of our worries ... Anyway we would not be left with any money for ammo . Mind you, it could be the perfect excuse to immigrate to Switzerland or the Czech Rep ?

What they must not forget is they act for or on our behalf (their personal views are irrelevant). Political representation is the activity of making citizens' voices, opinions, and perspectives “present” in the public policy making processes.

Tories Ban Handguns and SLRs out of necessity to allay public fears. *
Labour Ban .22 Pistols out of pure spite and resentment for private Firearms ownership.
Labour MPs openly call for the state-sponsored theft of our property. Conservative MPs express support and sympathy for shooters. I know Who I'd vote for.
* (Not to suggest for A moment that I support those bans, just that I can see why they did it.)

Incompetence and acting under poor advice without respect for facts or the rights of people do not endear me to a group of persons, to be brutally honest.Daniel11 wrote:Tories Ban Handguns and SLRs out of necessity to allay public fears. *
