The lip on a steel AK mag makes an excellent bottle opener.......

If you bend a feed lip on a bottle top somethings wrong!.....or you've used a Korean AK mag.

Bit of AK mag trivia......during the Soviet-Afghan war troops issued with the AKM and AKMS prefered to use steel mags whenever possible as they believed that shards from shattered bakelite mags wouldn't be picked up on x-rays if they were injured.

A photo from the Izhmash factory, ever AK is frozen to -50c and test fired. And that's every rifle, not one from a batch.

I does, I wouldn't fancy working in -50 all day!.At the other end of the scale they heat them to +50c as well and any that fail are rejected.

Yes they are, KalashnikovConcern takes pride in all it's products and all are tested the same. The handbook for my SVD has a load of different OTK inspection stamps and signatures, including the inspector that test fired it and the lady that placed it in its box and packaged it up.Thats a level of traceability I haven't seen on a lot of Western Firearms.

No, this one didn't...... And she won't have much luck in getting that Romanian PSL mag to fit no matter how much she tries!!!!

Something tells me this one in Syria knows what to do with a Dragunov
