Bit of AK mag trivia......during the Soviet-Afghan war troops issued with the AKM and AKMS prefered to use steel mags whenever possible as they believed that shards from shattered bakelite mags wouldn't be picked up on x-rays if they were injured.

Yes they are, KalashnikovConcern takes pride in all it's products and all are tested the same.The handbook for my SVD has a load of different OTK inspection stamps and signatures, including the inspector that test fired it and the lady that placed it in its box and packaged it up.Thats a level of traceability I haven't seen on a lot of Western Firearms.joe wrote:But are those tests done on the UK versions ?
