i can see the k22 tab fine. the prohibited tab doesnt show anything, and one the home screen the vz58 / 61 both link into prohibited, so i'd guess they are still working on it

Any idea what the antreg lbps are and the vz61 rifles are? Unless the vz61 is a 22 conversion, could it a mars action .32acp?

I checked Czech small arms website (I know how that sounds, and yes it was a dumb way to start a sentence) and they only make them in 32 acp, 9x17mm (380 acp) and 9mm makarov.

I wonder if Scott's given up importing Straight pull VZ's maybe?

But anyone think the same as me that the vz61 rifle is a MARS action gun? The one in the pic looks like 32acp. I know that when they sell the pistol in the US they sell it without a stock due to their laws.

What kind of stab in the dark are we talking? Small dagger or large sabre lol ?

I would guess that either. I suspected Scott would do more with the MARS. Before he released it to the public (I suspect the website is half finished here and he and his wife Feroza are always quite busy) we had a conversation, this was before I had ever met Scott and I asked him out the blue if he would make a grand power or any other LBP based on it as I thought it was well suited. He thought so too (even seemed to be working on the possibility). I don't know if Scott is still working on that possibility and I always forget to ask him so. If anyone wants to ask and he'll tell (the worst he can say is no). Certainly I know he had a FAL prototype made in the US that was not allowed out (maybe an EU country could work with him on it?).

I wonder if he's abandoned plans to do a pistol cal VZ and this is it. A cheap to run 32acp (makes a bit of sense) or 380 acp.

Which would be the preferred Cal for the gun for the members here?

I guess if its the case Capitalism, the free market and genuine competition strikes again to Bob Clarke.

Antreg are another Czech company, there's a couple of videoa on their Orion and Zenith pistols on Youtube and some info on their website,

http://www.antreg.cz/indexen.php?id=en/uvod

"Prohibited" usually means you don't have authority to access the web page as it's probably still being designed.

I'm guessing Scott doesn't want those areas of his website open the public yet? I actually did find that website. The Antreg's appear to a company that makes conversion kits, so some pistol frames that haven't been assembled are going to be mated with the kits, long barrels and a rod maybe?

And I must be on the money for VZ61, to be fair if you call and ask Scott, he'll likely say yes its a mars action whatever cal, this much and be up front about. In that case its probably a design thing. He also appears to be getting some czech made (?) 22 ARs. A bushmaster link is on the website so who knows? Come to think of it Bushmaster are making their own 22's now.

It is a lot of presumptions. I'm afraid to call if I don't have anything I want to buy (though the front sight tool is a tempter). Tell you what, if I decide in the near future (lets say the next few days). I'll ask on the sly if a vz61 mars action is the thing on the webpage. On the other hand it could be next week as I try to keep my spending on certain levels each week and this week its mostly buckmark LBP stuff.

So whoever phones up CCA first possibly should ask as somebody might be interested and if its cheaper than a SGC 9mm/45 lever release some people will be interested. Whats the rate for 32 acp around the country on average? C&G has some for 24.50 & 26.50 magtech (its listed as 32 Auto, but thats 32 acp anyway). Not a big one 71 and 50 grain bullets.

this isn't a dig, or meant in a mean way

just phone him and ask. there's no point in us going through all this and it turns out he is just advertising his sec 5 stuff. if he is willing to disclose stuff then i'm sure he will on a phonecall, if he isn't willing to disclose anything, then anyone who has a more friends relationship with him, aren't exactly going to post up what he has said in private convos.

we can sit here all night and design a new gun for him, but if he isn't planning or intending that, its all a bit pointless.
