Brit shooter needs from a US ally
Hi, before I get to the point if this post is against the forum rules please delete it & accept my apologys
I'm an avid British shooter who owns a browning Xbolt with a very heavy trigger, as you my know guns and gun parts are hard to get hold of in the uk and there is no triggers or trigger springs available, there is however a guy in the U.S (ernie the gunsmith ) who does a trigger spring for under $7, however he will not ship to the UK,??? (its a spring for heaven's sake!)
Would any of the members be willing to get me a spring & send it to me in the UK, of course I would be happy to pay in advance.
thanks Ken.

OK, now that Kenny has been hacked off ....
FYI people, some countries are now stipulating that ANY component from ANY gun - whether pressure bearing or not - can only be sent to an RFD. Don't confuse our rules about pressure bearing parts with those of other countries.
If you own say a Hatsan for example you will NOT get a part sent to you directly from them as it is a firearm COMPONENT: it will go to an RFD. It may not be pressure bearing but it may be needed to make the gun work, that includes things like springs! If you find your sole importer is without bits give them a bollicking because the factory will tell you they SHOULD hold spares - or order them!
The rationale is that they don't want to be supplying bits to "undesirables" (that's the governemnts job!)
Some makers are not that interested in spares supply, something you may want to consider when purchasing.

Check out their prices. I just tried to estimate the size and weight of a pair of $300 cowboy boots and their shipping charges including VAT was a shade over ten grand! IN POUNDS NOT DOLLARS!!!

TEN GRAND! Gosh. It's amazing they're still in business! I can't remember having to pay £ 10,000.00 on any of the occasions I've used them (better check my statements!). In fact, when I tried to estimate the cost of shipping a pair of boots I couldn't get it to come to more than £100. Do you think one of us might have made a mistake?redcat wrote:Check out their prices.
