How often do you shoot?
After reading recent posts it has been implied that people here spend more time on the internet reading about shooting rather than actually doing it.
So to find out if there is any substance to that accusation I have set up a wee poll to see if the charge stands up or not.
There are 20 boxes to click for the most usual number of range visits you make a month.
To flesh these numbers out you can post in the thread with more specifics like range, type of shooting etc.
This by no means meant to be scientific but I am sure that most of here are at least as much trigger pullers as keyboard bashers.
Me.
I shoot on average 5 times a week at 25 to 100yrds and twice a month out to 600 with the odd bit of clay missing, vermin shooting, winged game and bambi bashing along the way. Shooting muzzle loading, full bore and small bore. I don't compete and shoot for groups, gathering load and bullet development data along with firearms testing.
When home in Scotland I will shoot every day.

Re: How often do you shoot?
Out every Sunday year round, the occasional Saturday for a competition, most Fridays and Wednesdays in the summer light evenings. Said 6 times a month, but it can easily be double that. Shooting mostly, PSG, mini-rifle, multigun type stuff. CSR a couple times a year, MOD ranges for full bore couple times a year. 3-Gun in the USA twice in the last 2 years.

Every Wednesday I'm shooting smallbore target rifle. Those weekends I can (which isn't often) I'll be shooting fullbore.

Monday evenings (or more if I can manage) at Durham (indoor 25m)
Alternate Sundays for Clay Pigeon
1 or 2 times a month Full Bore Rifle (MOD range)
All dependent on whether I can get out of the house that day so some times no shooting for weeks

Re: How often do you shoot?
Weekly small bore indoor
Monthly outdoor full bore barrack range
Ad-hoc visits to 'bigger' ranges usually four or five a year.
The important thing, for me, is that I'm happy with that I'm doing which is all that matters.

The above post probably contains sarcasm or some other form of attempted wit, please don't take it to heart.

Pistol twice a week in the summer. IPSC competitions once a month, man v man when organised.
Re: How often do you shoot?
Used to be around 4-5 times a week with clays, smallbore, fullbore etc. but that dropped off when I got married, after that it was whenever family life let me, I try for at least once monthly but once the divorce is settled I anticipate the frequency will increase...
