Tiika T3 bottom metal - - revisited

#1 Post by mag41uk »

Just going through renewal and it looks like I will be getting another 260- woo and hoo!
The plan is to get something eligible for S class and something I can use on the running deer/boar range at Bisleycentric.
I really like the new CTR which is available in stainless this year.
As you know it comes with a 10 round mag which is a TRG mag and spares are £150 upwards.
Now I don't know that I will ever need a spare but you never know!
I have a 10 round spare for my AE and only ever used it once for a McQueens.
So, in the long run, do I just get a varmint or super varmint and get a bottom metal kit?
What kits are around?
Some one on the bay was selling one a while back?
So many questions!

If you can get bottom teal that uses anything else apart from TRG mags, go for it. RPA used TRG on their Inteceptor multi shot as they wouldn't use AI because of "rivalry". I have a total of five TRG mags and only one will take 10 rounds. And when that one does, the mag bulges so it can't be inserted....

Utter shoite and at the 150 quid plus, outragous!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

The MDT T3 polymer mags are the same, 10 rounds are a very tight fit and don't feed properly, apparently they're being re-desigined. In the meantime the usual metal Aics mags are a better option.
