Mine was 5 weeks in Cambridgeshire (2014). Although 3 weeks of that was waiting for my GP to get back from holiday to write a medical letter, so I suspect it would have been 2 weeks without that delay.

mine was put in july 2014 and still waiting apparently will only be a few more weeks

Apparently an office move, unsuitable referee and a medical history request then a medical request.
At least that's the things they've said when I've rang to chase it up.
