There's a pretty decent book on the SA80/L85 that's out so I'm told, I been meaning to try and grab a copy if I can find one at a realistic price. I think it's called The Last Enfield, though I've never read it.

Steve Raw's book. Well written, very well researched - lots of primary data on the L85A1 trials. It runs out immediately after the A2 was introduced but I think that was when the book was originally written. I hope he updates it, it was a fantastic volume.

I have Steve Raw's book on the SA80, it is excellent!

I have been after a spare firing pin for my L98A1 for a while to add to my spares kit, but they are rocking horse poo :bad: .

Until, that is, the one I bought from the US seller on Ebay as per the post above turned up in the post yesterday shakeshout
