When I was job hunting last year I applied for a civilian job with Sussex Police and they asked for details (including usernames and passwords!) of any social media sites, forums etc. that I was a member of so they could check them out for links to criminals etc. I didn't list them all on the form, they didn't give me the job (largely because I would have been useless at it rather than anything to do with my 'online presence')!
I would've just said i didn't have any accounts, or told to F off, depending on how i was feeling that day

With that information they could then post as you and basically do whatever they wanted! Also, as many people use the same password(s) for bank accounts, Ebay, Amazon etc etc they could've had a field day!
I did used to post shooting stuff on my Facebook account quite regularly (mainly to prove to people that i really had an excuse not to go to their little darlings birthday party/christening etc

) but i try to restrict it these days. I've also changed my security so the details non-friends can see are extremely limited. When i've looked at other shooters FB pages (who i'm not friends on FB with) i've been amazed at some of the stuff they put on there, including a senior police officer, solicitor and other people that 'should know better'.
