FORTMEIER m2002

#1 Post by spartan7510 »

been looking at buying one for full bore down at Bisley in 308. lovely looking piece of kit, but not many write ups on this. Would love to hear others experience if you shoot one or have shot one, or any general advice. Was also looking at REM 700 308 in AXMC stock as another option, but the Fortmeier looks like a cracking piece of kit as well..

These are the platform for most of the .50cal UK team, nice rifle and extremely accuracy in the larger calibres.

I have no experience in .308 however these are a switch barrel model, I don't doubt their ability in the smaller calibres.

Mike (MiLisCer) on here may be able to give you some more insight, he has quite a bit to do with the importer of these.

Thank-you for your reply, does MilisCer work for UK Extreme Performance by any chance?

Extreme performance were one of our major sponsors for the trip to Raton last summer.

He is currently helping us develop some bits and pieces for the 1-2-3 mile challenge at this year's competition.

EP have the 2002 on the shelf in various calibres. It is more commonly known as the TTRS.

It has easily interchangeable barrels and a quick change bolt face too, so you can have any number of calibres on a base rifle.

The TTRS is a well engineered rifle with great accuracy out of the box. Designed by the guy who also designed the Steyr HS 50.

Big bugger, isn't it...?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
