Its weird at the Bog as sometimes you can get no wind on the 100m.....but it can be blowing like hell on the 50m next door!.

I've got the 3-9 version of this scope, any chance of getting a copy of the manual? What's your point of aim at 100 yards on the lowest mag?

Here you go Comrade, click on the link below and you should be sorted. At 100m with the zoom/range on "3" (300m) your poi wants to be approx 10cm above your poa. With the 4-12x42 version that I have got there is an aiming mark, above the main one thats on the horizontal scale, that is specifically for zeroing at 100m on setting "4".Out of curiosity what rifle have you got it mounted on?.Hoverfly wrote:I've got the 3-9 version of this scope, any chance of getting a copy of the manual? Bought the scope as it seemed a bargain, but finding the rifle I think it's going to be a bit more of a challenge. Does give me the time to find bits and bobs and learn abit more about the rifle and it's history.

Was it the one that was on ebay for £199?, if it is that was a very good price. One thing to mention is that these scopes aren't ideal if you are shooting on a range at one set distance, they come into their own when shooting at multiple targets at different ranges.Hoverfly wrote:, rifle wise still looking for a SVD.

Yes he accepted a offer for £149 which seemed cheap to me. Going to used it at Stanta on ETR targets, Great Carr is out to 800 yards.snayperskaya wrote:Was it the one that was on ebay for £199?, if it is that was a very good price. One thing to mention is that these scopes aren't ideal if you are shooting on a range at one set distance, they come into their own when shooting at multiple targets at different ranges.

It is strange as they have never been branded as a Saiga......the correct title is Izmash Tigr (Tiger).Without pictures its hard to tell but it may be a Vepr hunting rifle with a thumbhole stock like the one below and the dealer isn't familiar with Russian rifles.polemass wrote:Hoverfly-one rifle popped up on gunstar now, strange description-saiga civvi dragunov-but price looks good
