PK-01v Red Dot

#1 Post by RichT »

Does anyone have a PK-01v mounted on their Saiga/AK?
I can see it mounts quite low, so can you use the iron sights through the scope, if so do the iron sights obscure or get in the way in use?
Also how easy was it to zero?, and any other pros and cons?

I am thinking of getting one for my .223 Saiga, so just want some advice from someone that has one?

No.

Nobody has one.

They'd have said so already if they'd stuck one on their rifle...

What's up Saddler, someone swapped out the whiskey in your water bottle for actual water?

Doesn't stop the Finns using Dragunovs though does it!!!???.Whether you are shot by a Valmet or a Kalashnikov the results the same.......

I have a PK-01v and it is an ideal optic for a Saiga. It does mount quite low and will co-witness with the ironsights as it sits on the centreline of the bore as opposed to offset to the left like the majority of Russian optics. It is a very easy optic to zero, is very well made and extremely robust and also reasonably priced compared to comparable Western optics. They are currently used by a number of Russian units including OMON and Spetsnaz.
