my opinions are based on dated info , I maybe need to revisit them at the shooting show ? I really like the concept.Dannywayoflife wrote:The mags are the only issue to me and thanks to Davy the issue that annoyed me is fixed :) the trigger was worked on from gen 1 to gen 2 and everyone who has shot mine all say how crisp it is and how surprised they are at how good it is.tackb wrote:have they updated the trigger ? the ones I handled a while ago were not becoming of a weapon system in that price bracket !Dannywayoflife wrote:Like I say personally that's what I would take every single time. The barrel changes faster the poi is exactly the same EVERYTIME, it's shorter, the barrel is supported for 6" by the chassis, the trigger is stunning...... The list goes on fella and like I say that's my opinion. That's OK isnt it?
apart from the price, weight and trigger oh and the mag I'd have one , if they fixed the trigger and made double stack 10rd mags I'd live with the weight and price.........
As for price what do you expect to pay?
Weight mine feels lighter than the AI's i have shot. (Not had either on the scales though!) being a bulpup the weight is more to the rear and easier for positional shooting. The AI's now feel Front heavy to me. Lovely rifles but I made my choice when I bought the dta as I was initially going to buy an aiax then I came across my dta and plumped for that :)
These are just my opinions. I am a die hard DT fan and I wouldn't swap my rifle for any other system available right now.

he needs to get online then , I want to look at the DTA at uk prices on line as I doubt a direct conversion would work price wise?
Re: Dta owners
I agree a uk web site would be useful but not sure why there isn't one mate your have to ask ewen. He is very responsive if you email him mate. I couldn't help you out with a retail price as I bought my covert nearly new.

Re: Dta owners
Hi folks,
We have the international site at www.deserttech.com and the plan is to have different pricing available on there. However at present if anybody needs a UK or EU specific price feel free to contact me.
The ball park figure as an idea for an SRSa1 including chassis, barrel, barrel extension, bolt and magazine (so one complete rifle) is £4,925 inc. VAT, normal extras people would add on are monopod (highly recommended, cerakote of rifle, or muzzle breaks).
Didn't mean to hijack the thread but thought the info may be useful to some.
