.312 cast lead bullets

#1 Post by falco67 »

I have recently been given some 205 grain gas checked .312 cast bullets.

Could someone suggest a starting load using Vit N140 for my SMLE?

regards

Geoff

Have you slugged the bore?

I suspect they may be too small, especially for an N140 load

No, I have not slugged the bore, but I have rechecked the measurements of the lead bullets. They are all .311/.312.

I am now getting into some googled reading on the subject and I will take it from there thankssign

best regards

far from it, it is a subject that I know nothing about and any advice is greatly received. If I have given the impression that your advice is not good enough, that was not my intention. Please accept my apology.

I'll do some reading and I'm sure I'll come back with some questions.
