I think the suggestion is you're allowed to keep them in your cabinet at home.

Ok I might of got that bit wrong but if that's the case then they need to make it clearer because the people I talk to are under the impression they need to be kept at a club.

It might not have screamed "The purpose of this petition is to get your pistols back and allow you to keep them at home", but it was clear given the acts they are asking to be repealed and amended.

Current figure is 18,161 signatures. Have the people who started this just given up? It's a busted flush.

BASC and the CA still fire it out over Twitter pretty regularly, but that's about it. It's all but dead now, other shooters just aren't interested - and it seems the public certainly aren't.

More marketing needed.

Why on Earth should the campaign be dead? They should redesign the leaflet and the website, re-target gun shows, gun shops, gun owners, non-gun owners and let them know they're still there campaigning for the same cause. They should dig deep, work out where they went wrong and have another bloody go. If not, then this campaign was an empty gesture.

It isn't my campaign. When I suggested I was prepared to get involved many months ago, no one contacted me. I'm busy redeveloping my club's website at the moment and I've since joined the committee, so I don't have the time now, but I did.

I've campaigned before and there's no point starting unless you have the conviction to see it through.
