For a guy who has been around guns his whole life - he sure doesn't seem to know much about the basic rules of gun safety. "You should feel uneasy." WTF???

Cognisant of the responsibility inherent in being armed, sure. Constantly knowing where the muzzle is pointing - definitely. At all times in compliance with the rules of gun safety (which that guy doesn't seem to have much of a handle on) - absolutely.

But uneasy??? Anybody who is uneasy - that says to me that they lack of training and experience. If that's the case, I would like them to please stay the heck away from me!

I would feel very uneasy if I had to rely on him to potentially save my life. 5mith

Seeing something like that actually makes me feel better about our gun laws over here. We may not have access to 90% of the firearms and accessories that are available to people in the USA, but at least the vast majority of FAC holders in the UK are responsible enough to know what they are doing. :good:

Our gun laws over here do nothing for firearm safety, with possible exception of Home Office approved club membership for target shooting - which if nothing else "presumes" that you'll receive safe instruction and "hopefully" a few good folk will figure out if you're a nutter!

What they do however, is presume that guns kill people (like spoons make you fat) and so we have stupid restrictions on the type of firearm and even it's dimensions - but nowehere does it do anything for actual safe use of firearms.

If you're safe to be trusted with firearms you should be safe to be trusted with all firearms. I'd even go as far as to say as many as you want, the "need" element IMHO is an arbitary restriction designed to limit the number of firearms amongst the civilian population.

Our gun laws are daft, out of date, irrational and illogical - in a supposedly liberal, democratic society we should be permitted not restricted ****

Nick B Excellent post. :good: :good: clapclap

Guy in the video is a stooge and his safety rules are unlike ANY I have heard or read read on here, certainly not the 4 that appear later on. Carry a PDW with no round chambered and safety on - good way to get killed. The man IS a FUDD!!!!!!!!!! (Glasgow version)

Seems some police are taking a lead from the UK surprise visit plans:

There's a police chief who desperately needs a damned good sacking! Don't US officials take an oath of office that promises to uphold the Constitution? Seems he doesn't take his very seriously. One has to wonder how a complete w*nker like that ever rises to any position of authority? Obviously in his case the Peter Principle failed badly and he was allowed to rise far higher than the level of his incompetency.
