Ping. Supposed to be available 2nd week Dec.
Ping. Apparently they don't have any primary extraction problems.
Ping. Unlike my SLR shooting RG and Singapore tracer yesterday. Grrr

I have been told L1A1's like GGG so thats what I will try first in my L1 although it has been test fired with some steel cased ammo and cycled ok, I'm told.

Re: M1 Garand straight pull
There's a little bit of RG around, the guy that I get it off has it 'on ration' though as it seems to be getting scarce. The GGG ball cycles very well in my rifle but I haven't seen any tracer from them. Making my own is the next step I think.

I have one of these on order, can't wait as I have always wanted one and it will be a great addition to my WW2 collection.ukrifleman wrote:Anyone had the chance to handle or shoot one of these?

Looking for this steel cased stuff to try in my L1's, GGG is superb in mine, accurate and cycles very well, only get the odd slightly sticky round!
I fired a Cotswold Arms Straight Pull Garand last year (belongs to a fellow Full-bore member), great fun to shoot, got to love the ping!
Very jealous of you lot!

I briefly owned one just prior to Mr Ryan's walkabout in Hungerford and have always regretted having to hand it in.
I await in breathless anticipation, your range/functionality report.(you know what I mean, just tell us how it shoots)
ukrifleman.
