Gun Cabinet

#1 Post by pb86 »

Hi All,

In the process of upgrading my 2/3 gun cabinet to a 4/5 or 6 gun cabinet. Need an extra deep one to make it easier for my scoped rifles and so far have narrowed it down to the following two and was wondering if the extra ~£80 was warranted for the brattonsound one?

Would welcome your views as my budget is tight to also allow for a new rifle :good:

In the days when I had cabinets they were all Brattonsound, I still have them in my other property.

If I was looking to buy another cabinet it would be a Brattonsound.

When buying a cabinet get the biggest one you can as you will never have enough space and it saves pennies in the long run.

Brattonsound here with separate ammunition lockers, as Dromia says, get the biggest you can afford/fit as they seldom accept what they are advertised to do.

Brattonsound have a good range - over time I have bought half a dozen or more cabinets from them. Their support is superb as they will supply key blanks and complete lock plates if you think your security is compromised. Changing lock plates is simple. However the key blanks are special and it is unlikely the local key cutters have them. They might have something that looks the same but the shank will be slightly bigger and won't fit the lock. I learnt the hard way so always buy key blanks from Brattonsound and have them cut at your local shop. Brattonsound have always provided great service and support - for me there is no other choice.
