357 / 38 reloading

I prefer 148 grain semi wad cutters. Iv used them for years only I can not be bothered to cast them now a days. I have used Rog,s in fact I have a couple of hundred left I have also used other makes. They are OK but the semi wad cutters sized and lubed by my self work best for me. I just don't have enough time to spend casting etc. So for now I just by my 38/357 boolits. They are as cheap as chips any way. I never thought to ask Rog maybe he does a semi wad cutter.

I got a set of washers that were the same thickness as the diff between a 38spl case and a .357 case. When I switch from 38 to 357 I just put the dies into the turret using the washers as spacers. It's worked for me for 20+ years.

hmmmm, thats not a bad idea! i might turn up a new case holder. as the washer soloution isn't the easiest as i like to leave the dies in the turrets. but if i were to make a case holder that had a higher shoulder on it, the case wouldnt be able to go in as far. so if i set it up to 38spl, then used the alternate holder for 357..... that might just work :)

That is how RCBS do it, a spacer ring is supplied with their die set.
