Accessory rail - bipod and sling fitments

#1 Post by meles meles »

oomans, our M28/76 has two accessory rails, one beneath the fore-end of the stock and one on the side of the fore-end. These are the aluminium variety , inlet into the wood, with a dovetail profile - the sort seen on many target rifles.

Do you know where we can either get a bipod that slots into them, or an adapter to allow a Harris style bipod to be used with them? And a sling swivel too?

Dear Mr Monochrome Mustelid

Assuming it's an Anschutz type rail, there are adaptors available - I think from Harris themselves - try ebay or dealers such as Tacfire or similar.

This is the Jobby-doofer-thingy-whatsit that you need,
damned if I can remember the part number, sorry.

It's Harris's adaptor #6 that you need.

See ebaY - here £17.99

I'm not surrised at that, my aim was solely to show you which adapter was suitable for the Mustelid's rifle as per your request.
