Handy little doofurs, versions of which I've been using for a while, now available as a stock item from NOE.

Yep. Sinclair do a version too at nearly twice the price of the NOE.

NOE aren't claiming it as new innovation just a good product at a good price.

I've used the inverted boolit method for years but these little doofurs are just easier to use for me at least and easier to get an accurate reading.

I have been using similar ever since I started shooting again, they were one of the first things I made. Alpha they are super easy to machine yourself however as NOE have very kindly supplied the dimensions it would be nice to return the favour and buy from them.

I know exactly were you are coming from Ovenpaa I looked at the picture and thought wow and was ready to dive into my shed with the dimensions in my hand. Then I thought yeah NOE have gone to all this effort and the price is reasonable. So if you want one I recommend you purchase the NOE product.
And if you want the dogs danglies of a Cartridge over all length gauge then the Shooting Sheds are about the best you can get.

I am getting up to speed now with my machining skills I have a very good teacher I have made/copied all sorts of bits and pieces to understand how people turn a lump of metal into a finished product. I make stuff for my self any thing I make is not for sale. Its a hobby I enjoy having a play. I also understand that to some people its the way they make there living. I'm not about to do any thing to jeopardise that or try to fob off one of my amateur jobbies as the pukka product.

I'm sure I could make one of the NOE things in a heart beat but I aint going to.

I had a look on the web site. What are NOE like to deal with I guess they ship molds to the UK if so how long do you wait for them to arrive are there any issues with ordering boolit molds from them.
