Moderator cover.

Hi All

Can anyone recommend a good moderator cover for a Hardy GenIV mod. I would preferably like one that fits tight and does not require to be cut to size.

What do you use ?

Bike inner tube would do to protect the finish & provide a minimum level of heat shielding

What sort of cover attributes are you looking for?

Nothing fancy just something that will protect the mod and stop the annoying metallic sound when it hits branches etc.

Thanks ovenpaa I will have a look at the TAB covers.

I had a neoprene one for my Blaser Offroad Reflex T8 great for stalking. One day I put the barrel on my LRS2 for a day on the range, never gave a thought to it getting hot. It did :o first I knew of it was a burning rubber smell. It partially fused itself to the moderator. Which to this day still has bits of rubber stuck to it. I can't remember where I bought mine from, but it was pretty much the same a this one, and a similar price.

Quite a few available at http://www.bushwear.co.uk/catalogsearch ... ator+cover I've used the Bushmuffler (giggety) ones before and they've done their job. Never managed to burn one either, including when firing over 50 .223 in under a minute :good:

Hi Blackstuff

I use the Bushwear muffler on my T8 but it's a tad too big for the Hardy Gen IV or I would buy another.
