The the legislation and also specifically the guidance on page 100 defines " shooter powder " as including black and smokeless and then goes on to state the " powder "as requiring to be stored in partitioned boxes . That sounds like the guidance requires both to be stored that way . Unless I've misread , I was trying to cut and paste the section but it's pdf

The guidance was via the Hse website link on page 1 of these posts by channel12 , tried to just copy it but phone being awkward ( nothing new there )

Evening Peeps,

Pardon my iggerance, but something that is this complicated and could affect all of us, surely our national bodies could provide a basic couple of illustrations along the lines of:

You can have xyz powder + abc primers + $%& loaded rounds and it must be stored in........

Or am I being a bit dopey here ?
Is there a department/person in the NRA, for example, who can issue some form of guidance ?
Just wondering as January NRA cheque writing is coming round.................?

What worries me is this question about powder storage has arisen just as the police are announcing they are intending to start doing unannounced visits . Now I might be doing two and two equals five but If someone's got a a fixed agenda sounds like a perfect way to catch a few folks out ,

Ello ello ello , what's going on here then , where's your powder store for your smokeless powders ? No , not got one have we sir ? Well I think we will just be emptying that cabinet for a while then , thank you sir !!!

Didn't mean you personally - the new changes. :-)

From http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/priced/l150.pdf (Appendix 7), there it is.
