In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

BUT that nice thoughtful Mr BliarPM took all our (legally owned for target shooting) handguns and "made the streets streets safer"
TEXT OF SPEECH BY RT HON TONY BLAIR, PRIME MINISTER AND LEADER OF THE LABOUR PARTY TO THE LABOUR PARTY ANNUAL CONFERENCE, BRIGHTON, 1997

We owed a debt to the people of Dunblane. We said MPs would vote to ban handguns. MPs have had that vote.
The people have spoken. Parliament has spoken. Handguns are banned.
We have honoured our debt.

Indeed how can it be possible that this man was shot with a pistol? I suggest a total revamp and crackdown of the licensing system, we must ban more things to prevent already banned stuff being used in crime.
It was working when i left it...........
