Derbyshire RA chairman speaks out over licensing fees

#1 Post by Gaz »

Derbyshire's police and crime commissioner, Alan Charles, believes officers' time should not be used to check the increasing number of applications for gun licences. Michael Evans, chairman of the Derbyshire Rifle Association, takes issue with his points.

Proactive, good work. More of the same needed please!

Hopefully whatever may be agreed as a best practice won't be based on Durham, currently quoting 28 days for a variation (when they don't loose emails etc.) and at least 120 days for a renewal kukkuk

I contacted Northant's this week and was told to allow 10 Weeks for variations "additions" fingerscrossed

I applaud your enthusiasm, even though your grip on reality may be somewhat tenuous......

Durham are "self harming" at the moment, they are trying to do so much arse covering following the Atherton shootings they've completely buggered what was once a flawed but reasonably efficient service.

Pre-Atherton you could drop off your Fac on a Friday for variation and have it back in 2 or 3 days. They're now spending so much time doing TV interviews showing how much they've "improved" following the damming IPPCC report and adding medical forms and other non-required crap that shooters are suffering for their gross inefficiency and bad practices.
