Do try to replicate factory ammunition or build for the rifle, and if so will the magazine take full length rounds (within 5/10 thou?)

Done that with a Norma round that works in my mates Sako.
Ha to guess a powder from the weight and found a similar charge (and burning rate) of Viht.
I'm thinking of trying the Hodgdon that was mentioned.
Purveyor of fine cast boolits.
All round good guy and VERY grumpy old man.

dodgyrog,

Maybe this article will assist you http://www.accurateshooter.com/featured/22-250.

I've always found the technical articles on this site very educational and some of them very useful.

Having looked at the article, that lapua338 posted the link to, I decided to check the twist rate in my CZ550, it measured 1 in 14 so the 52gr and 55gr match kings I use seem to be well suited. Tested at 200yrds at last Saturday 20 shots in a 2" group, and thats without really fine tuning the scope. Well happy..
