Gaz, quoted directly from the HPS site:

THE SURREY POLICE HAVE BEEN INFORMED AND ARE REVIEWING SECURITY FOOTAGE.
IT IS SUSPECTED TO BE A FULLBORE .308 TARGET RIFLE SHOOTER.

Not entirely, people come in from all over.....Oh I see what you mean

The long range challenge (F class) was also on that weekend, rich picking for anyone necky enough.

A while back a high end scope was nicked out of a van rear (Stickledown I think).

Anyone can wander in and mingle, we are all so bloody trusting and get on (even with the TRshooters.... )

It would not be the first time I have wandered over to and opened the wrong drag bag, everyone seems to use AIM bags, but no one batted an eyelid.

It would be a bit silly nicking something like that given just how easy it would be to identify, even if you changed the colour, there cant be many about.

If I remember rightly (and I must admit my memory is going a bit kukkuk ) but back in 1985 or 86 a SUSAT got nicked off an SA80 that was on a Royal Ordinance display stand. I was shooting in the Schools Ashburton at the time and the theory was a Cadet had it away to probably chuck on an air rifle

Someone said north west custom parts don't do Bisley tradecfairs anymore because he had 2 or 3 things nicked off rifles....

Theft at Bisley is nothing new,its an open place, tradesman's have had untold number of things stolen from ammo to guns. In fact was not there a rifle stolen recently on century? From a car boot, easily done as one trusts those around as fellow shooters.....

I'm just hoping the guy who nicked it and gets caught is thecsame rude sad smelly little man I tore into at the phoenix show for pushing his ugly little head in from of me and interrupting my conversation with the stall holder...I hate ignorant that's like that......
When someone says "it's not about the money" you know what? it probably is all about money!
