OK I know I am not the brightest spark (pardon the pun being an electrician emrolleyes ) but can someone explain in small words what the program is for shooting F-class at the Imperial please.
Having never entered any NRA comps the inof on the NRA website isn't all that clear  but it looks like it's shot over widely varying days.

Confused??? F-Class Imperial Entry
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

The TR/F Class phase (300x, 500x, 600x, 900x & 1000x) of the Imperial starts on Friday 11th July (you can also enter the MR phase if you want to shoot 1000x,1100x,1200x events). The typical format of each day is two short range matches (morning/afternoon) and one long range match (all day) – this is simple logistics, since Century is double the size of Stickledown. Not all days follow this typical format, but there are individual matches every day from the 11th to the 17th.20series wrote:but it looks like it's shot over widely varying days.
The meeting starts with 'Pre-Grand' shoots and there is one at each distance. These events are not part of the Grand Agg, and are considered as 'warm-ups', but they are events in their own right and form part of some aggregates (once you have decided whether you will enter the pre-grand shoots you can select aggregates based on 'Grand Only' or 'Grand plus Pre-Grand').
The first Grand Agg shoot is on Sat 12th pm, and this plus the individual shoots on Sunday until Thursday Lunchtime are in the Grand. After that there are second and third stages (if you progress), team matches (if you are selected) and some extra matches you can enter if you don't/aren't.
So basically, decide if you will enter the full Grand Agg, then decide if you will enter all the warm-ups. Finally select some aggs.

Down load or buy a Bisley Bible as that shows the Daily Programme. F Class ( and TR) are shot from First Friday 11 July until Final Saturday 18 July.
Each day has a variety of competition at distances from 300 to 900/1000yds. The squadding is such that you can shoot all of the competitions on a given day as you never need to be in two places at the same time.
The Grand Aggregate starts with the Daily Telegraph on Middle Saturday 12 July and finishes with the Prince of Wales on Second Thursday 17 July. You can enter all the matches of the grand agg or enter just a few. If it is your first Imperial you may wish to ask for a Shooting Uncle/aunt who will help you understand things.
