I share my loading area with my father in his garage - It's a good space but was built partially below ground level, and only has a simple bolted down roof. Over the last few years we've worked to make it water-tight, by digging round it (holding the lawn back with sleepers in places) and sealing it all round inside and out. Well it rained all winter and it stayed dry, so we decided to sort the inside out properly as well - The roof hangs over with big gaps in places, which the previous owner had tried to patch up in various unsuccessful ways; but there was always dust and dirt being blown in. The other problem was that it was our only work surface, so was used for loading and all other DIY, making it difficult to keep clean and tidy...
...So, we added another 8' of work-top for DIY, to separate the areas, and sealed the air spaces in the roof with expanding foam (possibly the stickiest and messiest substance known to man) - Anyway, it's not finished yet but is taking shape nicely...

Also, We've reached the point in our loading where we need to start doing more trimming - So we picked up an RCBS kit and have mounted it on a piece of workbench off-cut (50p at B&Q
), which can be taken on and off the bench with a couple of bolts and wing-nuts...
Spent today in there doing lots of case prep...very satisfying
Anyone else made any improvements to their man-cave, or added any new toys this year...?
