Lodging rifles with a RFD
I find myself in a position where I might have to lodge my rifles with a RFD. Is this a simple process and how much is it likely to cost for two rifles and two shotguns?

Should be easy enough, at least I find it so. Cost will depend on the individual RFD's fees.

The RFD I use charges a £2 per week per firearm rifle or shotgun, with a maximum of 3 months store. Another I know of it's a £1 per week per item with no time limit.

One I know of charges a basic fee £10 from memory plus a small weekly storage charge. The fee covers his time entering the details and then checking your documents and removing from his register when he hands them back as well a visual check for any damage however minor.
