On the issue of Dunblane, can anyone confirm if the bit in bold below is true? It's the first time I've read this and I find it staggering that this alone wasn't enough for him to have his firearms certificate revoked on the spot. Unfathomable...
1989: Sets up fictitious Boys Sports Clubs' Group Committee as smokescreen. May: Lothian Regional Council suspends let at Linlithgow Academy pending police investigations at Inchmoan Island. June-July: Doreen Hagger pelts Hamilton with manure. Hamilton points gun at her outside her home. She also accuses him of showing guns to children in Linlithgow. Lothian and Borders Police investigate and pass report to Central

I hope they'd respond appropriately now and by that I mean an armed response team < 30 mins, immediate confiscation of his firearms and revocation of his certificate. Nothing short of this is acceptable.

Well possibly they might, after an "assessment" has been carried out, and the perps "human rights" have been discussed.

As usual the media doesn't give a full and accurate account of what happened and the NRA's stand on mental health checks. First off lets address the killings, I say killings because not all six people were shot do death and although it is of little comfort to the families of the dead, this punk actually stabbed three of his victims to death.

Okay now regarding the mental health thing, a few years back the Brady bunch were screaming about mental health records being on file and accessible to the FBI as a part of the background checks. The NRA had no problem with this and apart from a few numpties, neither did the majority of the NRA membership. It wasn't the NRA that objected, the objection came from the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) another bunch of panty wetting liberals.

As usual over here, and by the looks of it over there as well, the liberals fail to point out the fact that the NRA does not and never has had objections to mental health records being accessible to the FBI. The very people who wanted it then went on to veto it basically because the NRA agreed to it and that didn't suit the anti gun agenda.

Finally allow me to point out that these killings took place in California, the State with the tightest gun control laws in the country, the State with the longest waiting period in the country, a State that if it wanted to could enact laws to have access to mental health records but won't do it because that would mean going against fellow liberals which would not only show them up for the hypocrites that they are but also wouldn't suit their anti gun agenda.

The most disgusting part of this whole sad affair is the anti's using the grief of these people to further their agenda.
